is that I have a new computer. Amazing how small it is compared to the last one we bought. The bad news is...I have a new computer. With Microsoft Vista installed on it. And Outlook instead of Outlook Express. Sigh. New things to learn... new operating systems Shouldn't Be Allowed. Were I more computer literate, doubtless I'd know Exactly What To Do to get things How I Like Them. As it is, well, nice new computer, frazzled old me...
For your viewing delectation...or words to that effect...another picture of Monolith, which has featured on this blog before. It didn't please me, and I couldn't work out why. So, this week, I added some more marks, which seems to give it a coherence that it lacked. Perhaps that is just in my head, of course...or perhaps not. Click on the image for a closer view. And do tell me what you think. That's the joy of lutradur, of course, easy to add a layer of marks quickly and easily. Yes, I'm obsessed...can't help myself!

Now that you touched something technical: you used Outlook Express(OE) earlier? If there is one email client that I can point to have had a big hand in spreading spam and viruses/viri, it is OE. You should try Thunderbird as your email client. Read that page to see its wonderful features. Most important of all, its Free.
While you are at it, try Firefox web browser. It is a wonderful piece of software with several features. If you are annoyed with all the flash advertisements on web pages, you should get Firefox and mail me for further instructions.
And I too don't know why this image pleased me, but it definitely is wonderful.
Hello Marion
New computer yahoo, but wat a pain thye are I certainly am no help with them, although we do know someone who is Sandy is the wizz..
When I first looked at the pic I thought it was a wax rubbing, Up close I see its a great piece, like the soft colors, and the stitching makes it pop.. I reallu like it...
Quite agree about Firefox, I've used it since I went online last month. I like the tabs so you can have a few open in the same window. I've manged to set up my email in OE but I have got Thunderbird just not figured out how to configure it yet. Let us know how you get on with 'Vista'.
Adding marks -- how about a different kind of mark? Or is "handstitch" a forbidden word...
There are no forbidden words (not even housework). And yes, I can see that hand stitch might add something. Oh damn. And I thought I was finished...thanks for the thought.
I really like this Marion, and the close up showing the texture of the stitches, I need Lutudur
