I Was Asked...
by another artist to make a textile postcard for her, blues and greens and a vaguely Valentineish theme, that had to be able to go through the post. So this afternoon, I went upstairs and played for a while; the results are here.
The first one is made from lutradur, with fused commercial cotton heart shapes; the other is commercial fabric with hand dyed cotton gauze over it. Both are machine quilted.
I wonder which one she will choose. What do you think? Vote here for your favourite...I'll put all the names in a hat on Tuesday and whoever's name is chosen will receive the other one. In the unlikely event that she wants 'em both, I'll make one specially for you instead...how's that for an offer!
For now, though, I'm off to do some more sewing!

oh oh - difficult! They are both nice.
I vote for the second one - qith the brighter colours
Warm Regards

Both of your cards are lovely, I think if I was your friend I would have a very hard time picking just one!
The removed comment was me... I was in the wrong blogger!!!!!
Now which one?.....the one on the left with the 3 hearts flows beautifully... but .....ummmmm.... the colourful one draws the eye.. so the colourful one wins!
Great work as always Marion!

Not an easy choice! They are both lovely, Marion, so if I had to choose one, I'd choose the lutradur.
I bet she takes them both!

I like the green one on the left the most. :)
both lovely but I really like the green one.
I am guessing the one on the left side. They are both lovely.
I bet she takes both too...I would! I like them both....but if I have to pick one....I pick...the...blue and green with the adorable hearts!
I like the one on the right best, but that's probably because I like bright colours!
I've just opened an Etsy shop, Marion - www.lizplummer.etsy.com - any tips (or suggestions!) gratefully received!!
They are both so lovely. I am partial to the blueish green heart though. I will have to go with that one.
I hope I win I hope I win I hope I win I hope I win

I should think she will chose the colourful one. Why? Because that is the one I would choose - I love it :)
yes! the colorful one!!
neki desu
I like them both, they are so bright and I dislike pink. I think the one on the left is my favorite. I am sure your friend will take both so you'll have to make more. Mary
I'm with everyone here, they are both great for different reasons. As she likes greens and blues I would say the first one but I'm sure she'll have trouble choosing.
I'm writing quick before I read anyone elses comments. I'd pick the one with the hearts on it. Ha ha, okay, I'd pick the one with the hand dyes. It looks more blue and green.

She won't be able to choose and will take both :-)
or the one with bright colors.
They are both beautiful.
Both are lovely, however, I like the hearts and flowers one the most because it is brighter. And I love bright colors.

I would take both! I prefer the one on the left though
They're both gorgeous! If absolutely pressed to pick just one, I think I would go for the green one on the left - but I love them both.
green one on the left!!
Hope you had a wonderful time with the kids in scotland , a happy and wonderful xmas and new year.
I still have the divider for you so I will have to come up to visit you and Robin soon ... and see your studio... green green green with envy :)
hugs
Sandy
i like the green one - such lovely sea greens and depth of colour :)
They are both gorgeous. I bet she takes both. My favorite one is the Lutradur one.
Every postcard I see is different, it's such a versatile form of working!
I vote for the green, lefthand one, because it is a tad more unusual than the other, equally desirable one.

I like the one with lutradur. But I agree withe other posters that she'll want both. You have a generous offer.
They're both great!! I really like the colors in the one on the left. Maybe she'll like them both so much that she'll want both?
I prefer the Hearts and Flowers one, Marion!
