Bad Day...

Haven't struggled with the demon depression for a while, but the past couple of days have been difficult. So I decided to work with yellow... and the painting resulted, Spring I. It looks bright enough to cheer everyone up, even me. It's amazing how colours affect our mood. I'm making a whole series of works that will contemplate Spring; it seems like a good thing to be doing right now, when the nights are beginning to stretch out a little bit.

Hi Marion, I like the composition of this and you're right the yellow (and green together) are very up lifting. Hope tomorrow is better for you and me alike :) hugs

Beautiful painting, Marion. I love it.
I've been battling the same demon these days and can totally empathize.
Still, you created this beauty, and it shows you are winning the battle!

Lovely Spring colours Marion. Keep fighting the demon. The days will soon be opening up and that is something to look forward to. Well done for not giving in.

"For reasons best known to my unconscious, I want to work with yellow today..."

Thanks for this Marion - it did lift my spirits which for similar reasons to yours needed uplifting (is there a seasonal element to this - I remember feeling much the same last year and the year before at this time of year) Let's hope lighter days will help!
